Bringing my fiction to the world

I'm a Science Fiction writer living in the USA. I write mostly short stories and novelettes, so you probably do not know my name, but I have sold stories to ANALOG and other popular magazines and webzines, and this past year even managed to have a story on the Nebula Award preliminary ballot. I have always been fascinated by languages (indeed, my doctorate is in psycholinguistics, and since 1991 I've been the director of the Klingon Language Institute), and I recently decided to embark on an experiment involving my fiction, foreign languages, and the internet. Over the past few years I have written and sold a series of SF stories about a stage hypnotist called the Amazing Conroy and his pet, Reggie, an alien creature that can eat anything and farts oxygen. These stories have been judged to be light and humorous. A new novelette in this series is coming out this summer, and my agent is currently working to sell an Amazing Conroy novel. Clearly, this series is the closest thing to a "brand" that I have for my work. Now, here's the experiment: I've begun arranging for the first story in this series, "Buffalo Dogs," to be translated into various languages, with the intention of making the results available as free ebooks from my website. My goal as an author is simply to entertain my readers, to give them a brief escape from the world, and then let them come back rested and renewed. I want to achieve that for more than just English speakers. And oddly, that's what brought me to Zaadz. One of the translators I contacted (having found him fairly by random chance online) invited me in. Now, here I am, still working on this project, still purusing this goal. Care to help?
